Nabeel Perfumery In The Emiratis Creates Perfume With $1.4 Million Dollar Price Tag.
It looks like DKNY Golden Delicious Perfume by Donna Karan which carries a price tag of $1 million dollars,Clive Christian No.1 Imperial Majesty, which was released in a 10-bottle run in 2005 at $205,000 each for 500 milliliters (price included delivery via Bentley) and Le Monde sur Mesure by French company Morreale Paris. Its bottle was finished in two kilograms of gold with 1,000 diamonds and a unique fragrance designed by the buyer,Morreale Paris claims that the five-liter bottle sold for $1.8 million dollars. These have been de-throned as the world's most expensive fragrances by Perfumery Nabeel(Arabic for noble) which has created a scent that it says "Tells The Story of Dubai." The new fragrance is named Shumukh(deserving the highest) and is part of Nabeel's Spirit of Dubai perfume collection. This is a unisex fragrance that uses a collection of notes that are very common in many perfumes for example:amber, sandalwood, musk, patchouli and ylang-ylang. It also has some unique notes including pure Indian Garwood, pure Turkish Rose and Frankincense. These notes were expertly blended by Mr. Asghar Adam Ali (Al Attar), Chairman and Master perfumer at Nabeel Perfumes Group of Companies. Nabeel claims that the scent will last on your skin for more than twelve hours which really isn't to much of a surprise given the inclusion of the Frankincense,Sandalwood and Patchouli notes. So why does this perfume cost so much? Is it just the ingredients?
As is the case with the vast majority of the world's most expensive perfumes it's not what's in the bottle but what's on the outside of the bottle that brings the hefty price tag and Shumukh is no different. Shumukh is an unrivalled tribute to Dubai in the world of fragrance and beautifully showcases the seven key elements of pearl diving (Durra), falconry (Baz), Arabian horses (Abjar), roses (Narjesi), luxury (Haibah), Arabian hospitality (Diwan), and Dubai’s stature as a ‘city of the future’ (Aamal), all of which have been intricately modelled in gold and silver, and ornamented with the highest quality diamonds and precious stones, all of which can be customised. The 3 liter Italian Murano crystal bottle is set with 3,571 brilliant diamonds (totalling 38.55 carats),topaz, pearls,18 karat gold 2479.26 grams and 5892.88 grams pure silver. The bottle was designed and created by renowned artisans and master craftsmen from Switzerland, Italy and France - including the recipients of the designation of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France ("Best Craftsman of France").
Shamukh's claim as the world's most expensive perfume might not last for long. Morreale Paris says it is currently working on a perfume with a 10-liter bottle covered in gold, diamonds and rubies which they value at this point over $18 million -- hypothetically $1,800 per milliliter.
